The choice activity provided in the curriculum of master's degrees may consist of:

Choice exams

The list of choice exams is available on the Exams

For the choice courses units offered and activated by the Department of Economics and Management, there is no prior authorization. It is also possible to choose other teachings from the three-year and master's courses units of both the Department of Economics and Management (not provided for one's course of study) and the University in general. In this case, it is necessary to submit a request for authorization to the Course President who will verify the consistency with the degree course's educational project and with the cut and skills to be acquired, as well as the absence of iterations with exams already taken. It is advisable to submit the above request before the opening periods of the windows for the compilation of study plans; this is in order to allow the student registry office to upload the exam in the career in time for selection in the plan and taking the exam in the scheduled appeals.

Free participation activities

It is possible to recognize free ECTS credits (up to 6 CFUs to be counted on the "Activity of Choice" as eligibility) from free participation activities carried out in sports, cultural, artistic, and social fields referred to in the relevant University Regulations. Interested students should follow the directions therein.

Educational internships

For the conduct of educational internships, the rules contained in the attached documents must be followed.

Caution! For the Data Science for Management (Data Science) and Economics and Management of Sustainable Food Systems (EMSFS) courses, internships are scheduled in the second year of the course.

For Economics and Management of Sustainable Food Systems (EMSAS) and Management of Quality Food Systems and Gastronomy (FOOD Quality) courses, contact Course President Prof. Filippo Arfini filippo.arfini@unipr.it .

ADA - FRIM - TRADE - In-depth workshops.

The In-depth Laboratories are aimed at students enrolled in second-cycle degree courses for the acquisition of ECTS credits related to the Choice Activity. The Laboratories are limited in number (between 5 and 30 students).
Inscription is done on line through the current system used for exams (ESSE3). The professor in charge of the laboratory explains during his course the modalities of participation, specifies the criteria by which he will select the candidates and arranges the opening of inscriptions. Once the hours of the lab are over, the activity is closed and, after ten days, the professor can enter the evaluation (profit grade).
Labs are activated and exhausted during a single academic year: therefore, it is not possible for students to "accrue" the right to participate the following years, as it happens with the attendance to the elective exams. In fact, the range of labs offered may vary each year.
Labs may be held in parallel with the course or at the end, even in a compacted mode, i.e., concentrated in one or more days.
Attendance at labs is compulsory for at least 2/3 of classes and with mandatory signatures for those attending.
Participation in labs may result in the acquisition of 4 CFUs or 8 CFUs to cover credits for elective activities.
